I am a 4 year old female German Shepherd
Currently in Buxton, Derbyshire.
Tara is a gorgeous 4 yr old girl who needs a new home as a change in her owners circumstances mean she can no longer care for her.
Tara is spayed, but not vaccinated and microchipped.
Not known how she is with cats.
Tara does live with another dog and they are fine together. On walks she will bark at other dogs, but its not aggression. She needs to learn how to meet other dogs, and interact with them.
Tara is not keen on strangers, and will bark at and nip if given the chance. When our assessor arrived Tara was barking alot, and her owner was holding her collar. She soon settled enough to be released and just came over for a sniff and to say hello. She was then totally relaxed in the assessors company.
She will react to people outside similarly, ok if introduced calmly, but will go mad if they are running or full on. This appears to be a nervous reaction, not a nasty one.
Tara is housetrained, sleeps downstairs in her dog bed, and travels well in the car.
Tara is strong on the lead, recall ok when nobody around.
With a calm, confident person, who is strong enough to lead her, Tara will become an amazing girl. She has a special adorable quality about her.
Currently in Buxton, Derbyshire.
